Day 1

Ulaanbaatar. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. After checking in hotel, enjoy a day in city visiting to Zaisan Hill, nearby Buddha garden, Sukhbaatar square and National history museum. Overnight in hotel       /BL/

 
 
 

Day 2

Ulaanbaatar- Baga gazriin chuluu After breakfast we will drive to Baga gazriin chuluu. Baga gazriin stone, is a 15km long and 10 km wide stone massif, is located 30 km to the south east of Adaatsag sum of Dund Gobi Province . This stone massif is also part of the Mongolian granite stone zone. Wild sheep, ibex and marmot inhabit here, Surtiin am is one of many beautiful places in Baga gazriin stone massif. This is a narrow canyon with asp, birch, white whicker and elm tree, as well the ruin of a stone temple and the site of 2 yurts where monks lived and meditated since the seventieth century.There is a 20 m long cave near to the Surtiin Am. Crystals can be found around the cave. Also, there is a spring water which comes from under source is good for eye illness. Overnight in ger camp                /B.L.D/

 

Day 3

Baga gazriin chuluu – Tsagaan suvarga  After breakfast we will drive to Tsagaan suvarga via Delgeriin choir. Tsagaan Suvarga(White Stupa)is interesting to see the sheer slope, facing east, which from a distance seems to be the ruins of the ancient city. In ancient times, there was a big sea in Khevtee and Bosoo valleys of Tsagaan Suvarga. After dried up the sea, this area became a valley with many glacis and escarpments, covered by many different sedimentary deposits. Tsagaan suvraga is a big escarpment with 200m height and 400m long. Day 4

Tsagaan suvarga  - Yoliin Am Drive to Eagle Valley – a wonderfully picturesque place with ice even in summer, and surrounded by sheer rocky walls, forming incredible canyons. These areas are situated in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park that encompasses the "Three Beauties" peaks and the most easterly points of the Altai Mountains. Very wide at the intrance, it narrows gradually into a remarkable gorge. A spring 2 or 3 km long winds its way through the defile and in July, freezing into a thick corridor of ice that stretches along a considerable distance. In earlier times, the blocks of ice rarely melted, being protected from the vicious sunlight. This, however has changed in recent years, partially because of the multitudes of tourists that walk on the ice. You can still see ice here in July but it is almost completely melted by August. Day 5

Yoliin Am-Khongoriin Els  After breakfast we will drive to Khongoriin Els via Bayan dalai village.  Khongoriin Els sand dunes stretch for an extraordinary 100 km and are 21 kilometers wide and high. The dunes lie on the northern part of the mountains of Sevree and Zuulun Mountain. Local people call that by Singing Dune because of the sound produced by masses of sand moving in the wind can be heard from afar. That is why the dunes have been given the name ‘The Singing Sands’ or ‘Duut Manhan’. Near the Hongor Gol at the northern edge of the sand dunes is an oasis. Overnight in ger camp       /B.L.D/

Day 7

Khongoriin Els  - Bayanzag  Drive to Bayanzag more commonly known as the legendary “Flaming Cliffs”. is an important site for both archeologically and paleontological findings. Complete dinosaur skeletons and eggs are excavated from red cliffs, which look like fire. American explorer Roy Chapman Andrew had discovered this area in early 20 century and getting famous all over the world. If you see carefully, you could find piece of bone or dinosaur egg. In afternoon, short hiking Gobi tree-saxaul forest. Overnight in tent                   /B.L.D/

 

Day 8

Bayanzag – Ongiin Hiid We will continue our journey to Ongiin Hiid. Ongiin khiid (also referred as Ongi Monastery ruins) is a active small monastery with a temple which was built on the ruins of a monastery complex that was formerly one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia and founded in 1760 and consisted of two separate tempes complexes, Barlim khiid and Khutagt khiid, on the North and South of the Ongi Gol river. The 2 complex was destroyed in 1939 under supervisor of Khorloogiin Choibalsan, the leader of the Communist Party of Mongolia. Within a few months, nearly all of monasteries had been destroyed and about 17,000 monks killed or arrested and never seen again, with a total victims of about 27,000 persons. Day 9

Ongiin Hiid – Kharkhorin  After breakfast we will drive the capital of Great Mongolia Empire in thirteenth century. In 1380, Karakorum was destroyed. But approximately two centuries later, on the same site, there arose the yurt of Avtai Khan, founder of the Erdene Zuu Monastery. The great circular platform which form its base is still visible today. The monastery of Erdene Zuu is a focal point in the history and cultura of the Mongol people. We will visit the “Erdene-Zuu” Monastery. “Erdene-Zuu” monastery was built in 1586.  Stay overnight in ger camp. /B.L.D/

 

Day 10

Kharkhorin – UB  After breakfast drive towards Ulaanbaatar. We will see today evening Concert&Farewell. Overnight in hotel         /B.D/

 

Day 11

Our guide and driver will take you to the airport.    /B/
